Arrive at Kushok Bakula Airport – Leh, situated at 3500m altitude, met by our representative at the airport and transfer to your hotel in Leh town which is only at 5 to 7 km. (We will have 3 slots for the pickup and we will schedule this as per the travelers joining the trip. We will notify this 3 day prior to the arrival. In case if these time does not match your arrival timings then we will request you to report at the hotel directly at your own cost). On arrival at the hotel enjoy your welcome drink and then proceed to check in to your rooms and take full day at rest to acclimatize yourself completely to the high altitudes of Ladakh which is must.
At around 2 30 PM, post lunch at the hotel the road captain will brief you about the weather, driving tips and guidelines to be followed for the entire journey.
Evening around 4:30 pm visit Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace and Local Market which offers the best things to buy from Leh town.

The Sham valley is also called the Apricot valley as the valley houses Apricots farms which are grown in large quantities in these villages. The Valley is the home for some of the remote villages of Leh. The tour can be considered on the second day as It is at a lower altitude and hence will help you to acclimatize your body before you go to Nubra Valley to Pangong Tso Lake. The Sham Valley full consume a fill day and has the places to visit in the following order starting from Leh.

The day is to explore the north-eastern part of Leh – the Nubra Valley. It is located at about 150Kms and an altitude of about 10000 ft. To visit the Nubra valley one must cross the world’s highest motorable road – the Khardung La Pass and one can expect the valley in about 6-7Hrs of time.

Early morning full day excursion & is the shorter of the two direct routes from Nubra valley to Pangong Tso. You will start the journey by crossing Panamik and take a deviation at the Khalar. Wake up early in the morning to witness the mesmerizing beauty of Pangong Lake under the fresh morning rays. Post breakfast set off for a drive back Leh. You will reach Leh by the afternoon; you can spend the rest of the time in the local markets of the city.

Early morning transfers to Kushok Bakula Airport, Leh for your onward destination. This dropping will be done in 2-3 different slots only.
There are three ways to reach Ladakh-
1. BY FLIGHT: You can take flight from Delhi/Chandigarh to Leh.
2. BY ROAD: You can take road journeys from Manali. It takes 2-day journey (474 kilometers) from Manali to Leh via Keylong with a night stopover in Sarchu.
3. BY ROAD: You can take road journeys from Srinagar to Leh will take 2 days (434 kilometers) with a night halt at Kargil. All the roads remain open from May to October.
Anybody travelling 10,000 above sea level will find difficulty in breathing or is likely to fall prey to altitude sickness. It happens due to low level of atmospheric oxygen. This is because there is no greenery around in this altitude to supply Oxygen.
The common symptoms of HAS include Headache, Vomiting, Giddiness, Loss of appetite, Lack of sleep and difficulty in breathing. The best way to get acclimatize in Ladakh is a natural rest for at least 48 hours.
For those who love biking and adventure of a Himalayan drive, a road journey is the best way to experience it. This is also a common item in bucket list of the young generation.
Besides first two days of acclimatization, you need a minimum 5 days’ time to explore the region highlights such as Nubra Valley, Pangong Lake & Tsomoriri Lake.
T-shirts and shorts can do during the daytime but after evening the climate gets chilly and one requires jacket and pullover. If you are trekking 4000 meters above sea level, you need warm woolen clothes. Rain and snowfall can take place in June and July and therefore wind cheaters and raincoats are good. If you are into trekking, a pair of waterproof shoes is a must.
Leh has a good fleet of tourist vehicles which include Innova, Xylo, Qualis and Scorpio vehicles. For larger groups only tempo travelers are available. You will not find auto rickshaws here. Government buses are available but are very limited and not suitable for tourist as it will not stop for sightseeing.
