Karsha Gustor Festival is celebrated at the Karsha Monastery located in the Padum Valley in Zanskar Valley of the Ladakh region. It is also the largest monastery of the Zanskar Valley. Its owns the highest number of Lamas amount all the monasteries in the region. The lamas of the monastery wear a black or dark hat and perform the dance. The Karsha monastery houses Rinchen Zangpo mummified in a silver wooden box which got exposed during India Pakistan Karil war. It was later refurbished.
