Nimu is one of the popular tourist attraction, one can see a wonderful joining of River Indus and Zanskar. Nimu is known for All India Rafting Expedition which takes place in River Indus. One can also visit to the monasteries of Alchi, Likir, Basgo and the Pathar Saheb Gurdwara which is situated in the proximity of this place.
The best time to visit the place is between July to September as the weather is quite pleasant at that time. As Nimu is situated 45 Km away from Leh, one can easily go by a cab or a bike. The destination falls on Srinagar-Leh Highway, NH1 and can be seen before entering Leh if coming from Srinagar or Kargil.
