SIACHEN BASE CAMP

Introduction

Siachen Base Campa is an army camp near the tail of the Glacier at an altitude of 3,658 meters. Siachen Base Camp is now open for tourism and tourists where people can  visit the place in small group. As it is situated just northeast of the line of control between India and Pakistan so foreigners are not allowed to visit the place. Please note, Photography is strictly forbidden at Siachen Base Camp.

HOW TO REACH AND BEST TIME TO VISIT

The nearest airport is Kushok Bakula Rimpoche Airport,  in Leh. To reach the place it will take around 9-10 hours drive from Leh.
