The Spituk Gustor Festival is an annual festival celebrated for two days at the Spituk Monastery. It is usually celebrated in winters. During the festival the chief justice wear the traditional Goncha. The monks of the monestry chant the mantras for the blessing of wellness to everyone. During this festival Mahakala (gonbow) & Palden Lhamo diety is performed. Mahakala is special, powerful Buddhist ritual helps clear obstacles by dispelling the ignorance of our own minds. It also benefits all beings through the development of true understanding and wisdom, through the practice of love and compassion. Palden Lhamo is done for the protection of the region.
