HOW TO REACH

The Chagar Tso lake is located at about 140km from Leh towards Pangogn Tso Lake. The lake is smaller in size but attract a lot of birds. You can hire a taxi for a visit to Pangogn Lake and it holds on the right side enough to Pangong Lake from Leh. You can ask your driver for a small stop here. As such no special permit is required to visit this lake.

BEST TIME TO VIIST

June to September will be the best time to visit this place. Make sure it’s a sunny day to visit the lake as this is one of the rare lakes in ladakh which is surrounded by lush green grass around it.
