The Kiagar Tso Lake is also spelled as Kyagar Tso Lake. It is located in the Rupshu Valley and it only 30km away from Tsomoriri Lake. It’s a salt-water lake and it at an altitude of 15419 feet. Its not advised to stay for long hours here as it may lead to high altitude sickness. Since, this is an undisturbed territory one can see wild Yak and Kinags grazing all around the lake side.
The Kiagar Tso lake is located at about 200km from Leh and is usually visited along with Tsomoriri Lake. One can hire a local taxi for the Leh union to visit this place. This is one of the best places to stop, when you are coming from Manali by road.
Its usually between June to September is the best time to visit the lake. On a clear sunny day, you can witness blue skies being reflected in the crystal-clear water.
